Jacopo Bellasio

Research Leader, RAND Corporation

Jacopo Bellasio is a research leader at RAND Europe where he focuses on defence and security issues. Some of his recent work includes research on conflict risk assessment and monitoring, counterterrorism, preventing and countering violent extremism, cybersecurity, cyber defence, and border and regional security. While at RAND, Bellasio has managed and contributed to a wide array of policy research projects for high-profile clients, including the European Commission, the European Defence Agency, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security.

Prior to joining RAND, Bellasio worked with a human rights NGO in Lebanon and at the University of St Andrews. Bellasio holds an M.Litt. in Middle East and Central Asian security studies from the University of St Andrews and an undergraduate degree in linguistic and cultural mediation from the University of Milan, Italy.
