Christopher Meek

Chris Meek is Managing Director of Global Relationship Management at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI), where he oversees the relationships with some of the firm’s largest clients. Chris has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years and involved in the ETF marketplace since 2000.

Before joining S&P DJI, Chris served as the U.S. Head of Asset Manager ETF Sales at State Street Global Advisors, managing a national sales team covering asset managers, hedge funds, private equity firms, and insurance companies. As a Producing Manager, Chris covered hedge funds and private equity firms along the East Coast. Prior to joining State Street Global Advisors, Chris spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs as a volatility trader, risk manager, and trader on the Institutional ETF Desk where he managed the domestic sector and commodity ETF products.

Chris is also an Adjunct Professor at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs, teaching MPA courses on Nonprofit Boards & Governance and Fund Development for Nonprofit Organizations.

Chris has a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Syracuse University, an MBA in financial management from Pace University, and a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University. He also holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 55 licenses, as well as FINRA Supervisory Series 9, 10, and 24 licenses. In April 2021, the Chronicle of Philanthropy named Chris a “Face of Philanthropy,” and in October 2020, he received the ACT-IAC “Gamechanger Award.” In April 2014, Chris was the recipient of Syracuse University’s Orange Circle Award for his work in philanthropy. In October 2011, Chris was awarded the 2011 March of Dimes Franklin Delano Roosevelt Outstanding Corporate Citizen Award.
