Kimberly Mitchell

President and CEO, Veterans Village of San Diego

Kim Mitchell is the President and CEO of Veterans Village of San Diego, an organization that works to provide resources, programs, and services to veterans in the areas of mental health, substance use disorder, case management, job training, job placement, educational/certification programs, and housing navigation.

With her participation in Stand-To, Kim is hoping to increase the active-duty military leadership’s awareness of addiction and mental health challenges of service members prior to transition out of the service or separation, and get these service members into rehabilitation programs or access to mental health services, thereby improving the chances of success once out of the military and reducing the increasing number of homeless veterans and veterans dying by suicide.

Location: Edgewater, Maryland, United States
